Home security in Mississauga: condos, townhomes and older detached homes
Mississauga has very different homes within a few kilometres of each other: high-rise condos around the City Centre, stacked and freehold townhouses in newer pockets, and 1960s to 1980s detached homes with walk-out basements and mature trees blocking sightlines. We plan for the home in front of us, not a package.

If you live in a condo
Your building already controls the lobby and the garage. What it does not cover is your suite door, your balcony door if you are on a lower floor, and what happens inside when you are away. A door sensor, a small indoor camera you can switch off when you are home, and a water leak sensor under the sink and beside the washer cover most condo risks. Many condo corporations have rules about drilling and about devices in common areas, so we confirm with your property manager before anything goes on a wall.
If you live in an older detached home
Older Mississauga homes often have more ground-level glass than newer ones: sliding patio doors, basement windows behind hedges, a side door by the garage. Mature landscaping looks great and hides an intruder well. Motion lighting on the side yard and sensors on the basement windows usually matter more here than another camera.
Townhouses
Freehold and condo townhomes share walls, so smoke travels and sound carries. We prioritise interconnected smoke and CO alarms so an alarm on one floor sounds on every floor, and we keep cameras pointed at your own entrance, not your neighbour's.
What a walkthrough in Mississauga looks like
We start with your Safety Score answers, then check the things the score can't see: the date on every smoke and CO alarm, the doors you actually use, Wi-Fi strength where a camera would go, and who needs a code. You get an itemized quote in writing and decide in your own time.

Mississauga FAQ
Is a security system allowed in my Mississauga condo?
Inside your unit, almost always. Anything on common elements, like a hallway camera, usually needs board approval. We check your declaration and rules with you before we quote.
Do I need a monitored alarm in a building with a concierge?
Not always. A concierge watches the lobby, not your suite door or a water leak at 2 a.m. We will tell you honestly if app alerts alone are enough for your situation.
Who handles police reports in Mississauga?
Peel Regional Police. Call 911 for an emergency in progress; use their non-emergency options for a break-in you discover later.
